Conditions
- Bookings and Payment
1.1) Reservation requests may be made by telephone, e-mail or letter.
1.2) Following confirmation of a reservation by the Proprietor, a 25% deposit is payable within 7 days.
1.3) Following receipt of the deposit, the Proprietor will confirm the booking to the holiday maker in writing.
1.4) The balance of the rental charge must be received by the Proprietor no later than 4 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday.
1.5) If full payment has not been received by the due date, the Proprietor reserves the right to deem the reservation to have been cancelled.
1.6) All payments must be made in pounds sterling.
- Cancellation by the Holiday Maker
2.1) The holiday maker must immediately notify the Proprietor in writing if he/she wishes to cancel the booking.
2.2) No refunds will normally be given on the cancellation of a booking by the holiday maker.
- Other Cancellations
In the unlikely event that, following a confirmed reservation, the Property becomes unavailable for an unforeseen reason, the Proprietor will immediately notify the holiday maker and a full refund will be made of all payments received to date by the Proprietor in respect of that booking.
- Website Accuracy
4.1) To the best of the Proprietor’s knowledge, all the information provided in this website are accurate and every effort is made to update it as necessary.
4.2) The Proprietor cannot accept responsibility for any changes to or closures of amenities or attractions mentioned in the brochure.
- Insurance
The Proprietor strongly recommends that the holiday maker arranges travel insurance that matches their needs immediately after he/she has made a booking.
- Responsibilities of the Holiday Maker
6.1) During the period of the holiday, the holiday maker (personally and on behalf of all other people visiting the Property) undertakes as follows:
6.1.1) the number of people occupying the Property will not exceed the number booked;
6.1.2) the Property will be used solely for the purposes of a holiday;
6.1.3) to show due consideration to all other parties, including the Proprietor and neighbours;
6.1.4) to allow the Proprietor access to the Property at any reasonable time during the period of the holiday;
6.1.5) to keep and leave the Property and its entire contents in the same state of repair and cleanliness as found at the commencement of the holiday;
6.1.6) to report as soon as possible to the Proprietor any breakages or damage caused by the holiday maker and to reimburse the Proprietor with the cost of replacement;
6.1.7) to arrive after 1500 on the arrival day and to leave before 1000 on the departure day, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with the Proprietor;
6.2) In the event of a breach of these undertakings the Proprietor reserves the right to require the holiday maker to leave the Property before the end of the holiday.
- Liability
The personal belongings and vehicles (together with their contents) of the holiday maker and members of his/her party are left at the Property entirely at their own risk.
- Force Majeure
No liability can be accepted and no compensation paid by the proprietor in respect of any event which the Proprietor could not reasonably have foreseen or avoided.
- Law and Jurisdiction
All contractual obligations arising out of these conditions shall be subject to the law of Scotland and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
